Figure of eight knot

By its name, we normally understand the figure of eight knot in its single and double form.

Double figure of eight knot is the recommended knot for tying a person to a rope. When tying, take about 0.80 m from the working end and make a simple eight, pull the rope end through the anchor point and copy the eight backwards. The knot should have all strands nicely next to each other and each strand should be pulled separately.
